Sailor Moon Episode 16

This past Saturday we were graced with another episode of Sailor Moon Crystal and as per usual, I loved it! I think that Ami definitely doesn't get enough time to fight in the episodes because she's generally the brain of the group, but not only is she very powerful, but also her power is so graceful and beautiful.

These boss ass bitches get to make an appearance this arc and they are looking better than ever. Sadly, this time around since they are trying to go along with the manga a little more, each time a sister is defeated, she dies instead of disassociating themselves with the negamoon. 

This time around, Ami is challenged by another one of the Ayakashi sisters, Berthier, who definitely knows how to throw down a challenge. Because whenever I think major challenge, I know I want to challenge my archenemy to a rousing game of chess. 

I dare you to tell me you didn't get the feels for tiny Ami when Berthier made her think back to her dad leaving her. That was some serious heavy stuff to bring out in a chess game. My heart broke for her, but the good news is that she has new amazing friends who are always there for her when she needed it to reaffirm her faith in her own strength. 

Ultimately, the fight between the two water/ice women ensues and does not disappoint. But, Rebeus was once again there to steal another sailor scout ... Not cool brah, that's kidnapping, they're 14. 

What do you think is going to happen next week? Are they going to get Rei and Ami back? Or will Mako be next to be kidnapped by the Black Moon Clan??

Girl Power!

Being a girl myself, I tend to root for strong female characters, or actually even weakish female characters in the hopes that they're going to get stronger. Along with watching female characters in anime or manga that are pretty OP, I also love playing female characters in video games.

So, here's a list of my top 5 favorite female characters in any sort of animated media (in no particular order)! 

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Seriously, this chick is badass! She doesn't have any magical powers, but still she uses all weapons and materials at her disposal to make the most of her situations and overcome strong enemies. 

Mikoto Misaka: A Certain Scientific Railgun

Misaka definitely has one of the cooler powers I've ever seen someone have, and I'm pretty sure this is the power I would want if I had magical ability. Who doesn't want to control electric waves?? Soooo cooooooool! 

Usagi Tsukino: Sailor Moon

Call her a crybaby all you want but when it comes down to it this girl can really but up a fight. Once she gets serious there's no stopping her. Not to mention she's got a super loyal squad on her side that she can always depend on. Moon Prism Power, Makeup!

Lilith: Borderlands

She may come off a little intense, but her power is not something to be messed with. Lilith is all action and I love her phase walk power! 

Lucy Heartfilia: Fairy Tail

Even though she started out pretty weak and insecure of her magic, Lucy has totally transformed over the course of Fairy Tail. Seriously, summoning three celestial spirits at once, Urano Metria, summoning the celestial spirit king, and getting a super awesome power up from Aquarius!! The way I see it she's only getting stronger and I'm so excited to see where her powers grow from here. I just wish that someone other than the enemy she destroyed got to see how much power she has...

An app I NEED in my life...

Obviously, I can't go more than 10 seconds without thinking about Sailor V. Always, always, Sailor V. Please make this for iOS 8 and maybe then I can finally sleep.

Home girl always seems to have everything together and can stay calm in a pinch. Also her powers are pretty cool since she can control the gates of time, that's really cool IMO. Plus she's one of the prettiest sailor guardians so she always cemented a place for herself in my heart because 5 year old Andi loved pretty characters, so yeah she's my fave. Froggy out!

Is Mamoru Too Old For Usagi?

This Saturday's episode of Sailor Moon was focused around Tuxedo Mask, and it leads me to the age old question, is Mamoru too old for Usagi???

In the original anime series that came out in the 90's I thought he was a little pedo, you know since he was in college and she was in junior high, but after reading the manga and watching Sailor Moon Crystal I have come to a new conclusion. NO HE IS NOT. 

BOOM! Homeboy's in high school. Soooo, under 18 and their relationship is not illegal. That's all I needed. Just for Mamoru to not go to jail if he accidentally grabbed a lil something... but now that I know he wouldn't it's all good. Well I mean it's not ideal, but he's not trolling the junior high schools tryna find a lady, they were destined to be together.  

Cardigan aside, he's not as old as he looks. 

Also, with the new art style all the girls look older anyways. So it's all good brah. 

September Shipping: Tumblr Challenge, Question 1, "Who was my first ship?"

Sorry if it's cliche, but my first ever ship was Usagi and Mamoru. I seriously don't know anyone who dislikes this couple... seriously, I know they're out there but I choose not to acknowledge it. I am even able to look past the age difference because they have so much love between the two of them that it's sometimes a little overwhelmed. The only thing that would make it better would probably be if they were both a little older so that the whole destined to be together for the rest of their life thing wasn't so scary. When I was younger I definitely got super angry whenever Mamoru broke up with Usagi because of the voice that was coming to him in a dream, but as I got older, I totally understood. I'm super excited to watch their love play out in the new Sailor Moon Crystal and will probably fall in love with these two all over again. But I will always miss "meatball head" bring that back please!

SAILOR MOON DUB THIS WEEK!!!

AAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! THE SAILOR MOON DUB COMES OUT THIS WEEK!!! WELL SOME, I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY BUT WE'RE STILL SO F*CKING EXCITED. Hence the caps lock. :) It's happening Friday, so try not to explode from excitement before then.
